Frequently Asked Questions

How should I name my images?

The way in which you name your images is not important. Our uploading system will automatically label them correctly.

Can I pay with Credit Card?

Yes, you can pay with most types of credit or debit cards. We use Stripe to accept all entry fees. We do not store your card details on the Shoot The Frame site, they are all kept secure within Stripe’s incredibly secure system, they are at the forefront of online security.

What size should my images be?

Please upload JPG files which are approximately 1 – 4 MB. No watermarks please.

How do I resize my images?

There are lots of different programs that you can use to resize an image. You can use Photoshop or Affinity Photo if you have them, you can use this free online tool

Does Shoot The Frame own my image if I enter?

Definitely not. You, the photographer will always own the images, and retain the copyright of your images.

I uploaded my images, but I didn't receive a confirmation email.

The main reason for this, is if you have accidentally typed the incorrect email address into the uploading form. Please check your spam folder just in case, if it is not in there, please contact us on the website. We will be more than happy to help.

Where can I see the entries which I have uploaded in previous months?

We have changed our system recently, from now on, a link to the images that you have uploaded will be sent in the confirmation email. This link will expire after a few months, so we recommend you keep track of your uploads separately.

Where is the My Account section?

We have made some changes to Shoot The Frame to make it quicker, and easier to upload your images. No longer do you need a Shoot The Frame account to upload images. You don’t need to register, and you do not need to login. We have streamlined the entire process. The only downside to this is, we no longer have the ‘My Account’ section to check which images you have uploaded in the past. You can see the new images which you have uploaded in the confirmation email upon uploading.

Where is the login and register section?

We no longer have a login and register section. We have streamlined the entire uploading process, and bypassed the need to login to the site. It may seem a little counter intuitive at first if you have been a Shoot The Frame member for a while, but believe us, it will grow on you. It has really simplified the entire process.
