Wings over lavender

This photo was taken in Spain's Sierra de Guadarrama during an awe-inspiring natural spectacle, when the Spanish lavender (cantueso) flowers are in full bloom. I often spend my mornings at this location while this floral "show" lasts. If you are fortunate, as I was in this instance, you might witness black and red kites or even golden eagles appearing out of nowhere, bringing this magical scene to life. The vibrant colors of the lavender fields combined with the graceful flight of the kite create a breathtaking and unforgettable moment in nature.
