SIMBA

While shooting in Kenya recently for an unrelated project, I was feeling really frustrated that we hadn't seen any lions at all whilst there, then on the very last day after a very long day of shooting as the sun was setting on the savannah our guide got really excited and just shouted lions! Apparently while we had been none the wiser filming a car driving through a valley a group of lions had been hunting zebra right behind us! Our wonderful guide Wilson told us to get on the truck and drove us down into the long grass and then suddenly he pulled over and pointed into the grass and I looked over and locked eyes with a magnificent male lion with a red mane just like simba from the lion King! It was easily the most incredible moment for me of the entire trip!
