Misha

This image is part of my series "The Invisible Border". This project portrays life in and around Mejvriskhevi – a small Georgian village in the South Caucasus. The people who are living here are facing the consequences of the war between Russia and Georgia in August of 2008. Misha has spent his entire life in the village together with his brother Mito. This was only interrupted by the time he served in the army when Georgia was still a part of the Soviet Union. The picture he is holding shows himself during that period.
