Southern Kalahari at dusk

One evening while visiting the south Kalahari in South Africa, we sat atop a dune looking out at the sunset. I turned around and faced east and this scraggly tree was nearby with the mountains in the background. Along with the tall grass blowing in the breeze, this scene perfectly captured the beauty and vastness of the southern Kalahari. The colors in the skies at dawn and dusk are some of the grandest I have ever witnessed as well.
