The green iguana

While I was committed to get a nice overunder sunset shot framed by a semi-submerged cave in the small caribbean island where I live, somthing unique and unusual occurred: a green terrestrial iguana popped up to the ocean surface to breathe. In 8 years of my stayning on this island and thousends of times and hours spent in the water or next to it to take wildlife photos, it was the very only time I encountered a green iguana in the ocean. I was prepared for the sunset, my camera, the focus and the framing were perfect...I was in the darkness of the cave facing out, so, I guess, she didn't see me, emerging to get air just a few centimeters from my underwater lens! I shot with no hesitation and the two strobes fired illuminating this amazing creature. It came out a perfect shot, when everything was in place at the right time.
