Duna de Arena
This is a photo from the largest sand dune on the East Coast of the United States called Jockey's Ridge. Spanish horses raced across it and a building and golf course are reportedly under it ... It's always changing and never looks the same. This photo was taken at dawn before anyone else had arrived to walk the dunes of sand. No footprints just wind and shifting sands. I named it Duna de Arena or the dune of sand as a tribute to the Spanish Explorers whose shipwrecked horses swam ashore here in North Carolina many years ago and still roam the Outer Banks.
