Wolf on a Log

Driving between Vancouver and Calgary, I made a pit stop in Revelstoke for gas and a short hike. After about 5 minutes on the trail, I became aware of a wolf in the bushes. I slowly sank down and got my camera out of my bag. The wolf appeared to be watching me so I just waited for a good shot. After a few minutes, the wolf moved and I thought it was leaving but it just moved to a different spot to look at me. It did this a number of times in the 30 minutes that I sat there. Finally it came out of the woods, jumped up on the log and took another look at me. I managed to get a couple of great shots before the wolf glided back into the forest and was gone.
