Surfer at Manhattan Beach, CA

I hung out with a group of surfers. I tired surfing several times but could never get over my fear of open water and drowning. Hanging with these surfers and listening to their excitement about being out in the water would always convince me to try it again despite ever fiber in my body telling me otherwise. This is Brennan, one of those surfers. He started surfing on a whim and much like me, he wasn't confident with his abilities to survive in open water. But he kept at it which and had no patients for his own self doubt. That's something I learned.
