Woman of the Dunes

A portrait of Gazelle when we were in the Sierra Dunes. My most recent work has focused on elements of the desert; not in a literal sense but the desert as the psychological state where one is seeking spiritual direction, though elements of the actual desert (sand) play a role symbolically. As a direct contrast many of my other pieces have been thematically exploring unity between people or peoples.
