Red Fox After the Hunt

Photographed by Kelly Corey

Red Fox after the hunt taken May 30, 2023 in Yellowstone National Park. While driving toward the NE entrance of the park I saw this Red Fox hunting along side of the road. I stopped and got out of the vehicle to get a better vantage point for some photos. I took several shots a distance away and then she crossed to my side of the road. I moved to the front of my vehicle to get to the side to enter while keeping my distance. I turned around and here she was 3 feet away from me. I calmly raised my camera and took a few shots before getting into my vehicle. She watched me a few more seconds and moved on down the road. It was truly a beautiful moment.
