Smiling Female House Finch on Twig

House finches are such sweethearts! The ones here in our neighborhood are relatively used to people, and we've had at least two finch couples frequently visit our backyard. When this female finch saw me with my camera once again, she paused for a moment and tilted her head so cutely. It genuinely looked like she was gently smiling at me.
