One Step Ahead

by Xiaoping Lin

In the summer morning, the sunshine pours onto the surface of the Yuandang Lake, and the egrets and big fish are busy catching small fish. The egret was one step ahead of the big fish and caught the small fish. The big fish rushed out of the water, opened its big mouth, made a silent protest, and left a helpless look in its eyes.
