Cardenas Eclipse

I was on a Grand Canyon river trip during a lunar eclipse. Having planned out when the eclipse was going to appear while on the trip, I coordinated with the trip leaders that we could reach a camp that was wide of enough to capture the sequence of the moon's transition through an eclipse. We decided to reach a camp called Cardenas. After dinner, I walked up a trail that was at our camp to a ridge. I captured several images of the foreground, you can see our camp on the lower left), and then began capturing images of the lunar eclipse. Oblivious, this is a composite of the images I captured that night, and I did lay the sequence of the eclipse in way that was aesthetically pleasing to me in the image (the moon did not create a path like shown in the image). There was plenty of light from the full moon to help illuminate the canon, too, to help give more detail.
