A Crack in the Earth

The Rio Grande River runs down from the Rockies and through northern New Mexico before heading south and becoming famous. Over the eons, and with the help of tectonic activity, it has dug a clean line through the Taos Mesa and created this gorge, which is around 800 feet deep and seen from above is just gorgeous! I spent time in this area camping as part of my healing journey. As someone suffering from chronic environmental illness I need to breath clean, warm, dry air, and Taos is known for having something a little extra special. Due to my illness I can't hike or do much exploring, so I got a drone as a way to see more and just have a fun hobby. It has helped me experience so much more than I could otherwise, and see some of these beautiful places from a vantage point that we don't behold very often.
