Cathedral Rock Sedona

Cathedral Rock never disappoints! It wasn't clear (haha) if the monsoon that popped up last Friday was going to move out by nightfall as forecast, but my buddy and I were determined to revisit this rock a year after the first time we shot there. Cathedral Rock is an iconic place; one of the most photographed formations in the state and a 24 hr destination for hikers. Did you know? The red rocks of Sedona are part of ancient redbed (sand stone) called the Schnebly formation, which bordered a sea a lonnnng time ago. The red rock gets its color from iron (yup, rust!).
