Cotton Candy Cumulonimbus

In the Valley of Fire, Nevada are ancient red rocks known as Aztec Sandstone; sediment from beneath a lake which dried up millions of years ago. The valley is named for the fiery appearance of the rocks at sunset, but it's equally arresting when the light bounces off the red rocks and onto a passing shelf cloud.
