Night Out at Gonbo

Gonbo Rongjon is a sacred mountain of the Zanskari people of Ladakh. It is still not on the regular tourist circuit and take some effort to reach the place. This was my second visit to Gonbo Rongjon. The first was exactly a year earlier. During the first visit, I could shoot only one nightscape frame at Gonbo Rongjon as clouds rolled in and kept the sky obscured for the whole night. While I do believe that we were one of the first to have shot nightscapes at this location, a lot many fellow photographers (and pretty accomplished ones at that) have shot nightscapes at the place since then. So the challenge this time round, was to find a frame that hasn't been shot earlier. I was fortunate to find absolutely clear skies for the entire night and to top it all it was definitely less cold than the first time.
