Santa Lucia II

The day of the Saint Lucia, the patron of the blind, is celebrated as a Day of witchcraft, magic and good spells in Slovakia. At dawn, young girls dressed in white, with covered faces and goose feathers in their hands, enter silently the houses and ritually clean the evil spirits out of the homes by sweeping the corners with the feathers. In my series I intended to capture this magical ritual.
