On the French-Italian border

The Moon, the Milky Way, Monviso lit by the Moon, a sea of clouds, a large scree, the Nino Sardi refuge half buried by snow: the perfect cocktail to feel closer to what nature has to tell us. This night in March 2022, I decided to go to a historic Franco-Italian pass: the Bouchet pass. Before going there, I had looked at the satellite images to find out if a sea of clouds was present on the Italian side. There seemed to be a large band of clouds. Indeed, once the 8km walk with the 880m of D+ done, the reward was there. Even if it gradually dissipated, the presence of the sea of clouds provided an inexplicable emotion. This expanse of clouds under my feet, with the mountains that give the impression of floating. Just for me, alone, under the stars, facing -10°C and almost makes me forget the night descent, with the headlamp... Indescribable feeling that I sincerely wish you to experience. And you ? How far would you go to experience incredible things? EXIFS: ✅ Unfiltered Canon 6D + Samyang 24mm f/1.4 lens on simple tripod. ✅ Floor: 19 tiles.
