Woman from Mursi tribe

In 2018, the Ethiopian government had not yet begun a campaign to confiscate weapons from the Omo Valley tribes. So anyone who owned cows or goats could exchange them for weapons (from South Sudan) and thus have protection against raids by thieves from neighboring tribes, who were mainly focused on stealing livestock. Based on this, situations of this kind often escalated to the taking of human lives in revenge for what had been done.
