Eagle Pride

Photographed by Timothy Smith

This adult Bald Eagle is one of a pair which had been nesting near my home for years. This occasion was unusual, as I had to observe from a different location, as this adult and baby had moved to the opposite side of the nest from usual. This resulted in the morning light giving a nice backlit highlight to the pair. The adult seems to have a proud and satisfying posture at this moment, adding a nice result.
