Surprise Attack

Photographed by Shane Morrison

Swift foxes are endemic to the short-grass prairie of the North American Great Plains. They are the smallest canid or wolf/dog family in North America. While studying swift foxes over the last year, it was entertaining to watch the young pups romp, play, and fight. Here one leaps into the air apparently surprising its sibling based on its expression.
