Mumma and Baby Bornean orangutan

Photographed by Jessica Barnes

Captured in Auckland zoo, forced nap time! I captured this mumma Orangutan attempting to force a nap on her baby, explained to me by one of the lovely zoo staff while I was taking photos. Just like us humans, Orangutan's struggle to get their babies to nap in the day, in fact Orangutans share 97% of their DNA with humans! As you can see the baby wasn't having a bar of it!
