Remnants of Past Life
White Pocket is a remote area within the much larger Vermillion Cliffs National Monument in Northern Arizona. The striking rock formations make for a photographer's paradise. I was finally able to visit it on a photo tour. I found this large dead branch on the edge of a pool of water, and thought it might make an interesting photo. So I arranged it with the background of Lollipop Rock, a well photographed rock formation, just as the sun was setting.
