The singer

This woman is a member of the Italian folk and world music group "Malanga voice orchestra", a 20-voice female choir conducted by Mila Trani. The photo captures one of the twenty singers at the microphone, poised to begin a solo performance. Despite the low-light conditions, the 50mm lens with an f/1.2 aperture I used to take the photo allowed for a striking portrait that, when converted to black and white, beautifully highlights the singer's facial features. This shot was taken in July 2024 in Montecchio Emilia, Italy.
