Half the Park is After Dark

A Joshua tree under a blanket of stars at Joshua Tree National Park, California. On a moonless night, I walked into a Joshua tree field to capture this moment. Once I found the perfect tree, I had to wait a few hours for the sky to turn so that the milky way was vertical. I didn't realize how long it would take, but it was well worth the wait!
